Smoke Testing

South Florida Smoke Testing Services

One of the worst experiences you can have at your business is a foul-smelling odor. More frustrating is trying to locate the source of it. Smoke testing is a leak detection method, and it doesn’t just work on sewer lines. Smoke testing can also be utilized to locate leaks in your property’s water lines, septic tank, HVAC system, or even gas line.

What is smoke testing?

What is used in smoke testing is similar to a fog machine used for Halloween parties. This specialized machine puts out a colored, odorless fog that makes locating breaks and leaks easier. The smoke does not leave behind any residue, is non-toxic and no cleanup is necessary. Where there is a crack, break, or defect in your plumbing system the fog will escape the pipe. From here any damage located during the smoke test can be repaired.

Damage caused by untreated leaks:

If your experencing cracks in your walls, foul-oders, or hear the sound of running water when all faucets are off, its likely you have a leak. Our experienced technicians can preform non-invasice smoke testing to help locate your problem. After the damage has been located we can help make any necessary repairs.

After contacting multiple “24/7” plumbing companies, Jeremy answered and sent a tech ASAP. John was the tech and went above and beyond expectations to fix our broken drain. I will be doing permanent business with them for all our plumbing needs.

I had a severe blockage in the floor sink drains of my restaurant. Minutes after I hung up with dispatch, the technician called to tell me exactly when he would arrive according to his GPS. Believe it or not, the technician was right on time to the minute. He started working immediately and didn’t stop until he had unclogged my drains.

There was a hole in the interior tank itself, causing it to leak throughout the external casing, thus causing the flooding. Thank you both for the swift action of getting Versa Drain, Inc. out. Tech was back at 8:00 am this morning to ensure all was well. Please, forward positive feedback to Versa Drain on the tech and his “spirit” for such a long evening. He was truly “legendary” someone needs to know what a great job he did!
